    CTV Acquires Breaking In

According to advanced listings released for next week on the network's website, midseason comedy Breaking In premieres on CTV in simulcast with FOX Wednesday, April 6 at 9:30pm following a 90 minute episode of American Idol.

This marks the first time in about 5 years that CTV has picked up a half-hour comedy from FOX - since then, most either ended up on Global or had no Canadian broadcaster.

The last FOX sitcom to be picked up by CTV was the forgettable Happy Hour which originally premiered in fall 2006, and went on to be cancelled earlier that season. As far as midseason entries go, there is the equally forgettable Life on a Stick, which was given the post-American Idol slot back in 2005 but was cancelled after a few episodes.

Thanks for the schedule update lostjon.:)

Yeah, it's pretty rare to see a FOX comedy on CTV since CTV doesn't buy any scripted programming from 20th Century FOX (Global has had an output deal with FOX for quite awhile) the only FOX shows that end up on CTV are shows produced by another production company such as Sony (as this show is) or Warner Brothers.
