Shaw: New Channels

I'm unsure of how to look at this one, Shaw may be adding this channel b/c it's a Corus owned channel (through TLN) but then again, Shaw never did add the now defunct channels Leonardo World or Video Italia and still doesn't carry SKY TG 24, all of which were/are owned by TLN, a channel 50.5% owned by Corus. And hey, even Shaw Direct doesn't carry the French version of Teletoon Retro. So I'm kinda on the fence about this one.

Shaw has added CBN (Commonwealth Broadcasting Network) and TV Polonia to its lineup in certain areas. Not sure on exact channels numbers though.

Shaw has added Sundance Channel, not sure on the channel number though.

I'm pretty sure this is new since I don't believe Shaw had Drive-In Classics.

confirmed. "Sundance" is on channel 133 in the Vancouver area.

Shaw has added AUX on channel 138 (channel 153 for Winnipeg Rural) with a free preview lasting until September 1.

Also, Al Jazeera English has launched on channel 175, also on free preview until the same time as AUX.

Members on Digital Home have been saying that Oasis HD and CNN HD will be added to Shaw on July 7. So look out for those.

Shaw has started to add CPAC French to its lineup in areas that didn't have it. So, look out for that if you're interested.

Just noticed last night that we've now got …

225 - SNEHD .. I'm assuming this is Sportnet One since the schedule seems different than the regular Sportsnet feeds.

Yes, that's Sportsnet One HD. SN 1 SD is carried on channel 159.

Shaw has recently added LS Times TV on channel 199. It's a Canadian Chinese language film channel, so I'm sure it's only offered in select areas.

Yeah I noticed this one the other day and checked it out, seemed to be a Chinese movie but it also seemed to have sub-titles that almost looked Korean to me. Weird ;)

I read that Shaw will be adding Citytv Calgary HD, BiteTV, Silver Screen Classics, Movieola, and The Pet Network on October 20. I'll check back when and if I find out that they will actually be adding them.

Shaw has added all these channels, although I'm not sure about Citytv HD Calgary yet though, but I'm sure it will be, since they have to anyways. Check listings since I think the new channels are on different channel for different areas.

I checked and can confirm that Citytv Calgary HD is on 214, no EPG listings though.
