Will CH ever air programs in HD?

We all know that Global, CTV, CBC, and City TV have programming in HD, however do you think canwest will ever put CH programming on HD?

It's kinda sad when you pay for HD and you don't even get all the channels on HD.

Deal or No Deal, The Biggest Loser, and Extreme Makeover Home Edition are some of Canada's most watched reality shows Two and a Half Men, and The New Adventures of Old Christine are some of Canada's most watched comedys, NCIS, The Unit, and Boston Legal are some of Canada's most watched dramas, and Dateline & 20/20 are some of Canada's most watched news magazines but yet they are not in HD because they air on CH. CH also has cable dramas like The Closer, Saved, Psych, ect that can't be seen in HD on any other station same goes for shows like Wild Card.

Same thing goes for A Channel.

Do you think there will be a time in Canada where all shows air in HD?

Eventually I am sure .. but .. Deal or No Deal, The Biggest Loser, and Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Dateline & 20/20 .. aren't produced in HD anyway. So you're not missing much by CH or A-Channel airing them.

As for a timeline for them going HD, I'd say 5-10 years dependent on who buys the A-Channel network. In some markets they may never be upgraded beyond SD digital, some may only exist in HD on cable/dth as well. Kinda like Global-HD which doesn't actually transmit OTA yet exists on cable/dth mostly for simsub reasons.
