    Netflix??? For what???

I have found that Netflix has a somewhat pathetic selection of programming, even for $8 per month; if the outrageous CRTC has their way, Netflix will be forced to provide enen more boring Canadian productions, as if we don't already get enough of that from the CBC, without paying them other than the usual commercial barrages.

Now, I have watched the final episode offered by Netflix of the only tv series they offer worth watching--MI-5. Needless to say, the series "ended" on a cliffhanger, with India-Pakistan on the verge of a nuclear war. Obviously, I will have to search the Internet for the remainder of this series, where they might even be free.

In addition, Netflix is not offered as a selection on this website's selections. How do I know they are bothering to read this? Why is this site not called "Netflix Forums" as with other retailers, such as Dell, Hewlwtt-Packard, Microsoft, and dozens of others?

Well, it's off to the Internet in search of the rest of MI-5. I expect I will have better lick there.

The crtc has nothing to do with Netflix thyey do not have to go by the same rules as networks do they could have 100% all non canadian programs and that would be fine.

I agree totally with this remark.
However, I have heard rumors of Canadian networks complaining that Netflix is not forced to abide by the "50% Canadian content" laws of the CRTC as they do.

My sister recently gave me excess to her Netflix account. I acually think
it's good service maybe just a lil more for you.

But, there still isn't enough Sitcoms on there for me. I'd love for them to bring
in some more knowned ones like Family Matters and Neon Rider. But hard
to say when they will be they are accually taking there time to do so.

I accually noticed a lot of Power Rangers series came up there recently.

Here's a grand idea, if you have Netflix, hooked up to an Xbox ... change your DNS server to an American one and viola! American Netflix ...
Canada lacks in HD. If you agree post this in your signature.

CANADA NEEDS HD. We have nothing!

Can't say I totally agree with that. It was the CRTC that allowed Rogers to claim exclusive streaming rights to almost all of the American TV content out there for their own streaming service. This is the reason Netflix cannot offer that content in Canada.

I thought Netflix USA had better programming but someone said they do not. I dunno. I never accessed Netflix USA. But Netflix, like Movie Central sure has a lot of pathetic old movies.

It's thanks in part to big media conglomerates like Bell, who want to have a monopoly again by owning all the good programming and making you have no choice but to pay unreasonably high prices for it. Duh.

Really? Well I have watched Homeland, and Breaking Bad, 2 of the highest rated shows on TV on Netflix Canada. Homeland isn't even available on Netflix USA. For the best viewing you need Netflix Canada, and a proxie to see the US version as well, as they do have different programming, but the US version does not have programs on the Canadian version, plus XBMC, and you are ready for everything.I cut my cable years ago. Off air antenna, Netflix, and an XBMC media box.
