    Vanessa: bilingual?

    As posted in the french forum section : http://www.viewers.ca/discuss/showthread.php?t=16531

    Télévision Sex-Shop requested the CRTC to modify the licence for Vanessa (french) to include english language programming as well, becoming a bilingual service. If approved, french-spoken programming will captionned in english, and vice-versa.

    The bottom line of the request is that, while negociating with distributors to carry the english version of Vanessa, they've been told there's just no room since they carry many SD and HD channels and there's so little bandwidth left. Their proposition is a win-win.
    We had a good run: 2006 to 2020. Thanks for the informations and debates.

    Vanessa in english launched March 13th... soooo, where is it ?

    VanessaTV released two press releases :

    In french, it says that Vanessa is now bilingual, so it's a new incarnation of the current Vanessa.
    In english, it just mentions "channel's twin sister" and "new english version of Vanessa".

    So, what is it? Did any service provider added a seperate version of Vanessa? Confusing.
