Will The CW be available in most of Canada (just like CBS, ABC, NBC, and FOX), because it has become the fifth network (no longer a netlet). On my basic 70 channel cable, I do not currently receive The WB, or UPN. I wonder if I will get the CW?

It will be available from the Superstation package if you have the premium packages. Some providers offer the Superstations stand-alone.
In some markets it will be available on basic cable, Vancouver will receive it via KSTW which is currently Seattle's UPN. Seattle's current WB will become a My Network affiliate.
In Montreal the local FOX station will carry the CW programming from 10pm-12am like it did with the WB shows.
I don't think anybody has the My Network TV in this area. Unless UPN38 becomes an affiliate. I know My Network TV is supposed to announced it's last big market affiliate next Wednesday for the Boston area, where UPN38 or WSBK is located.
WSBK is going independent and resurrecting the TV38 style, they're already running promotions spots for it. Apparently they wish to return to the style they had before becoming a UPN affiliate. Not sure if they plan on bringing back some older shows and movies again. I believe they are also looking at getting back some sports they've lost.
WSBK is currently owned by Viacom/CBS.
They really should make TheCW a standard channel in Canada. . But, at this time there really is no reason because all programs that TheCW will have are going to be availble on Canadian networks. Though I would prefer them making a CW channel standard. I have no problem with it remaining a digital channel.
One thing that I would like to see is CW's HD signal. I believe that WPIX provides HD signals but Rogers has not taken them. Or there is a violantion with CRTC. Im not that familiar with alot of CRTC Regulations.

Well, all CW shows aren't all available on Canadian networks at corresponding times. One Tree Hill, for example, won't be played until summer. Veronica Mars isn't played on any major network in Canada either, among many others (including most comedies besides Chris). I think it will become standard like CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX.
Is The CW avaiable in Ontario?? like near toronto??
It depends, if you get a WB or UPN station right now then you WILL get a CW station, however if you DON'T get a WB or UPN station in your area you WONT get a CW station.
WPIX, which is available in Toronto, IS switching to the CW, so if you get it on your cable/satellite provider, you'll get the CW.
Most WB channels are switching to the CW. Many UPN channels (such as WSBK Boston are being left out in the cold, and going back to its former status as an independent channel).
I hope this helps.
So I guess I am not getting the cw because I do not currently get The WB or UPN. But I do get CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX. Wouldn't it make sense to also get the cw?
I guess but if you didn't get The WB or UPN then I really don't see why you would get The CW, all it has is old shows from The WB & UPN that you were unable to watch because you didn't have the channels.
