All-New Line Up Includes The Fast-Paced Treasure Hunt Salvage Dawgs
Free Preview Delivers DIY Network Canada to Over 8 Million Additional Homes Across the Country This May
DIY Network Canada is knocking out a new schedule and packing it with a bang-up lineup of brand new and returning series that will have do-it-yourself enthusiasts rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands dirty. The channel will be on a free preview from May 1st until May 31st to over 8 million additional households nationally, bringing kitchen crises, forgotten finds and contractor chaos to even more Canadians with home improvement on their to-do lists.
Beginning May 7th, the new series Salvage Dawgs chronicles the adventures of business partners Robert Kulp and Mike Whiteside as they scavenge through condemned structures in search of hidden gems that are worth saving, pairing their passion for historical preservation with a side of humour. Just some of their reclaimed discoveries include an old Victorian door that’s repurposed to add charm to a log cabin, a hand-crafted marble mantle from the 1800s, and even an old bathtub that the team transforms into a couch. Cost-conscious Robert focuses on the bottom line while free-spirited Mike concocts zany solutions for retrieving these relics, but they both share a passion for saving these remarkable pieces of America's past before they are lost forever.
From history worth saving to spaces that should be history, brand new series I Hate My Kitchen premieres May 2nd, giving distressed homeowners with a serious case of kitchen angst a sense of hope. Tearing up real homeowners’ lives and their kitchens, I Hate My Kitchen showcases economical yet stunning kitchen design ideas that don’t require demolition or divorce.
For those without a budget limitation, ‘Contractor to the Stars’ Stephen Fanuka returns to DIY Network Canada on May 13th with a second season of Million Dollar Contractor. The series takes a behind-the-scenes look at some of the on-site issues that distraught homeowners face – only these aren’t your average homes, they are multi-million dollar luxury properties. Other new seasons returning to the schedule include I Want That premiering on May 7th and Mega Dens on May 27th
With an all-new lineup packed with renos, recoveries and restorations, DIY Network Canada is the country’s source for the experts that provide ground-breaking solutions in the home.
