I am really looking forward to watching this show because I enjoy watching James Spader. He could make even an infomerical entertaining.
I’ll give it away right off the top:* in all of the years that I’ve been reviewing TV pilots, this is by far the best one I’ve ever seen!** James Spader plays one of the FBI’s most wanted, and within the first few minutes of the show, you learn that this is not one of [...]

Spader and Shatner were wonderful in Boston Legal and from the promos i have seen he definitely has the range to play this far different role . The supporting cast also seems top notch .
I also loved The Blacklist pilot episode. I'd even watch the series if it was in B+W instead of colour.
Coming soon to NBC ... The Black and White List.
It would even fit nicely on HBO or Showtime. It is that good!
Spader was great, but I kept expecting William Shatner to beam in and bring cigars.
I also wasn't thrilled by a plot point that reminded me too much of another fine series, Alias (starring J. Garner).
Still, The Black List is definitely on my Watch List ... while another Monday night series, Sleepy Hollow, has been kicked off my list after an annoying 2nd episode.
Warning: I'm not playing with a full deck.
Quite enjoyed the pilot . The directing was also top notch especially the little girl being kidnapped scene Maybe shatner will be a guest star .
Disagree about sleepy hollow , felt they kept the rhythm going and the writing was still good .
They call it Sleepy Hollow because it's tired and hollow at the core.
The second episode was too similar to the first. It should have been added to the pilot as a 90-minute pilot episode instead of standing on its own.
Episode 2 had a few good moments, but the actors and situations no longer interest me.
Happy Halloween.![]()
