    TSN will be the primary rights holder for the UEFA Champions League starting in Aug. 2015, but beIN will have some matches.

    Excellent News!!

    I have been waiting for this announcement for a while now, hoping TSN would snatch the rights away from Sportsnet. Interesting news about beIN Sports Canada getting matches, according to the official press release TSN has acquired exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League AND UEFA Europa League. They will be sub-licensing some matches to beIN Sports thus shutting Rogers out. So much for Canada being an afterthought for beIN Sports eh SportsFan.

    I haven't changed my mind on that. If beIN were primary rights holders in Canada then I would have.

    I was surprised about beIN getting some games, but it just makes sense for TSN to share the cost of these rights. I expect beIN will get something like third choice of matches.

    What a lot of people are forgetting is this $$$$$$$$!!! If your not wily to pay for the rights in Canada, you snooze you loose. bEIN Sports wasn't willing to anty up the $$$ to win the rights then they loose. Plain and simple.

    Anyone saw bayern vs. HSV? Not really a great start hah. I just found this video on youtube they have different episodes and they are all pretty funny, worth to watch! I think Sportnet is going to show Bundesliga in Canada !!!!
