Ya, those channels used to be interesting, long ago.
Their content changed, but not their cable classification.
WPIX, KTLA, WSBK, WGN(CW Feed) and Peachtree Tv...Superstations...Try Stupid
Yes they are offered with our movie packages except Peachtree of course once known as TBS and are they Super...no they are stupid
Maura Povich, Judge Judy, Rachael raye, the same shows offered by our locals and we pay to have them on along with our Movie
packages and all we see is talk shows, talkshows and nothing but talkshows and boring CW and MyNetworkTv shows, that's not Super
and peachTree's lineup is even more lousy than the rest no wonder Cogeco pulled that network off 3 years ago
We need stations like antenna Tv, METV, This Tv that offer such better shows than these Not so superstations
and most companies offer the WGN America feed with some better shows and some the WGN CW Feed(boing)

The US Superstations still carry Live sports content, as well as some exclusive content, not carried by Canadian channels.
You can also get the US superstations a la carte in some areas, or as a cheap $6/month theme package with AMC, TCM and FX Canada.

Warning: I'm not playing with a full deck.
Reason why they are "Superstations" is because they are conventional stations in big cities, not border stations.
WPIX has the NY Mets games, WPCH as TBS carried Atlanta Braves games, WGN has White Sox games, WSBK has or had Boston teams games...
For a sports fan of selected teams, these "superstations" has a value, if there's no blackout. With time, some games went to cable.
I hear you complaining about their daytime programming. Neither The CW or MyNetworkTV has daytime network programming, so they rely heavily on syndicated programming. If you don't like it, don't subscribe to it. For some canadians, the superstations are the only access to The CW full programming.
We had a good run: 2006 to 2020. Thanks for the informations and debates.
