Corus launched Disney Channel Canada on September 1, 2015

So, Corus is launching DisneyXD and Disney Junior on December 1st. Are they using exiting channel rebranding or are they brand new? Haven't seem to see anywhere where those are coming from.

I guess Corus wants to be the biggest Childrens broadcaster in Canada. Too Bad they still did away with Teletoon Retro which so many Canadians like a lot. Now if only we could get something like that brought back to Canada. Wonder what next More Nickelodian Offshoot networks?!!!

So on Disneyjunior.ca and disneyxd.ca it mentions a whole bunch of providers including Videotron, which never has the new English channels when they launch, so it makes me think it will be a rebrand. Maybe of Treehouse for DisneyJr? Maybe Disney XD will be rebrand of YTV?

My guess is these will both initially launch as Category B exempt channels much like Disney Channel. I don't think they are rebranding any existing channels for Disney Junior or Disney XD

Normally, when there are new services, it means it's a new channel. Rebrands just don't get a new service ID, they are just renamed.

I see Bell Tv added Disney Channel SD on Channel 563 and Disney Jr SD on Channel 565 Yesterday
