    Icon5 Something strange

Alright, after granting to terms and conditions with more packed filled legal jargon than the iTunes agreement, I'm in, and after looking at the small categories that is setup, I've notice that they have a large selection of U.S. programming that was part of Global & Citytv programming library like 30 Rock, Community, Frasier, Cheers, Everybody Loves Raymond, Friday Night Lights and so on. Which is strange, since I've never seen any of the Bell Media library on Shomi, so something strange is going on.

Off the top of my head, Californication and The West Wing are on Shomi and aired on Bell channels. Is that what you mean by "the Bell Media library"?

Bell, CBS strike deal for Showtime shows on TMN, CraveTV

It’s SHOWTIME, Canada! CraveTV Launches The SHOWTIME® Collection Today, Featuring More Than 400 Hours of Acclaimed, Premium Series and Specials
    February 23, 2015

Bell obviously saw the shomi-CBS deal as a threat, so they open their wallet, rush to sign an exclusivity deal to get Showtime shows away from Super Channel (which still airs "Homeland") to the benefit of TMN and CraveTV. Fast-forward to last november, Corus (part of Shaw) is dropping Movie Central/HBO, as the costs of paying Bell for the content might suck.
