On Monday May 29, Global will simsub CBS's reruns of Kevin and Man w/ Plan, followed at 9pm by Emerald City...
Tuesday is the usual NCIS/Bull rerun night...
On Wednesday May 31, The Carmichael Show comes back on NBC at 9pm & 9:30, but Global opted for a 2-hours movie at 9pm, after two Border Patrol fillers at 8... I guess Global will once again shelf the Carmichael episodes and dump them early saturday afternoon before golf, sometime, as a filler.

Speaking of dumping shows, dunno if it was mentionned somewhere, happened since the website's downtime, but Global is playing catchup with Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, saturday nights after SNL.. at 1am... season 1 done this saturday, season 2 to follow the following week.

Global will be burning off the final three episodes of cancelled CBS sitcom The Great Indoors on Sunday, June 11 at 9:30pm.

Generally, their regularly scheduled programming on Sundays is simulcast with CBS, but they will be airing the Tony Awards that evening.

The episodes scheduled to air are:
9:30pm The Heartbreaker (OAD: 4/27/2017 - final Thursday airing on CBS)
    10:00pm Roland's Secret (OAD: 5/1/2017)
10:30pm The Company Retreat (OAD: 5/8/2017 - series finale)

As already mentioned in a previous post on this thread, the last original episode aired on Monday May 15.

UPDATE: Global has opted to scrap the broadcast of these episodes. The episodes are now available for streaming on Global's website as of Wednesday (May 31).

Showcase's "Travelers" reruns this summer on Global starting tonight 10 with the pilot (Global already aired it last october). But if you prefer to binge-watch, all 13 episodes are already on Netflix Canada.

So looking at Global's summer schedule thus far:

    Mondays
Reruns of the sitcoms Kevin Can Wait and Man with a Plan, a burn-off of cancelled NBC series Emerald City and season 2 of the NBC reality competition series Spartan: The Ultimate Team Challenge
Later in the summer, NBC drama Midnight, Texas and ABC drama Somewhere Between

    Tuesdays
Simulcast reruns of NCIS, Bull and NCIS: New Orleans

    Wednesdays
Until the return of Big Brother on June 28, back-to-back episodes for season 1 of Global original drama Mary Kills People followed by an encore of the first season of Showcase original series Travelers
New CBS drama Salvation follows Big Brother starting July 12

    Thursdays
Global original series Private Eyes (Season 2 - 9 episodes), NBC game show The Wall and an encore of the first season of Global series Ransom
Later this month, new episodes of Big Brother and NBC drama The Night Shift begins on June 22
SNL: Weekend Update runs for four half-hour episodes (replacing Private Eyes) presumably paired with a sitcom

    Fridays
Simulcast reruns of MacGyver and Hawaii Five-O, followed by Ransom (moving over from Thursdays once The Night Shift returns)

    Saturdays
CanCon reruns - current lineup consists of HGTV reality series Home to Win, Chuck and Danny's Road Trip from Food Network and an encore of the cancelled drama Combat Hospital which aired back in summer 2011

    Sundays
Reruns of Border Security (cancelled in 2014 after 3 seasons), pre-release reruns of The Simpsons, and simulcast reruns of various CBS dramas
Big Brother returns on July 2

Global still has five episodes of sitcom Superstore on the shelf. Also, episodes of The Wall are all over the place. They aired the premiere episode back in March, then started airing new episodes sporadically in simulcast with NBC. For the last few weeks, they have been playing catch up with episodes from Season 1 on Thursdays, but with Big Brother returning, that will leave at least four episodes on the shelf.

Looks like Global pulled Emerald City from the schedule after, what, 5 episodes? Reruns of Private Eyes take the slot starting tonight.

I noticed that. At this point, Global will probably show the remaining five episodes exclusively online or quietly burn them off in the afternoon on weekends.

Only the 4th of July, Global nixes the usual CBS lineup of NCIS-Bull-NCIS:NO reruns in favor of... History Channel's 3-parters "The World Without Canada".

But, c'mon really, on saturday July 1st, Canada's Day, why did they chose an american movie to fill the 3:30-6pm slot ?
The rest of the day is canadian, except the SNL rerun simsub starting at 11:29pm.

Just as I expected, Global has quietly moved Emerald City to weekend afternoons, burning off the remaining episodes in the same manner as they are doing with The Celebrity Apprentice.

New episodes will continue to be added for streaming at Globaltv.com and the Global Go app on Monday or Tuesday in advance of the weekend broadcasts.

Episode 6 {"Beautiful Wickedness"} aired Saturday June 24 at 1:00pm. The episode was available for streaming as of Tuesday (June 20).

Presumably Global will air an episode will air each weekend upon wrapping up its run, according to the latest advanced listings:
Episode 7 ("They Came First") - Sunday July 2 at 3:00pm
Episode 8 ("Lions in Winter") - Saturday July 8 at 1:00pm
Episode 9 ("The Villain That's Become") Saturday July 15 at 1:00pm
Episode 10 ("No Place Like Home") (finale) - Weekend of July 22/23 TBA

So Somewhere Between is moving to Tuesday 10pm July 25th after it`s premiere the day before July 24th 10pm.

Global will be happy as they will now be able to simulcast both Somewhere Between and Midnight, Texas.

True. As both shows will be premiering on Monday, July 24, one of the shows will be airing in pre-release.

Going forward, it should make for a gradual transition to the fall lineup. They can easily move reruns of NCIS: New Orleans to Monday at 9:00pm, where it will air in the fall and have the luxury of simulcasting both shows.

Given how heavy that Global's lineup is with CBS and NBC shows, it's been very seldom to see an ABC show (the majority of which end up going to CTV and a few others on City).

The most recent ABC show on Global would have to be Canadian series Rookie Blue which ended in 2015. You would have to go back to 2012-13 when Global picked up several ABC shows, all of which went on to get cancelled that season including Last Resort and Zero Hour, the latter of which had been initially picked up by CTV but was later dropped and went to Global. Since then, Global has not really picked up any ABC shows They carried the first seasons of summer game show Wipeout until it moved over to City in 2013 and they also had the reality competition show Duets in the summer of 2012. There's also the military medical drama Combat Hospital which, despite its decent ratings in Canada, was cancelled after one season, when it aired back in summer 2011.

That is true. But this is one of those straight to series lower cost shows made for summer and not being from ABC Studios, open the door to others.

It probably be a one season show, but you never know as ratings have been so low in broadcast lately that the bar is low for renewals. Anything that has a beat can hope to come back.

So for this season, Global has used weekend afternoons as a dumping ground for the following shows, all of which have been cancelled:

Emerald City - Already cancelled by NBC, Global started airing the limited series Monday May 22 for five episodes over four weeks before encores of Private Eyes took is place, and it got bumped to Saturday afternoons halfway through its run.

The New Celebrity Apprentice - Unlike NBC which aired for two-hour episodes over seven weeks in January and February, Global is airing an hour each week, stretching the most recent installment to run for pretty much the entire summer. Also, it was originally airing on W Network before it got pulled from the schedule and became exclusive for streaming on Global's website the following day after the NBC broadcast.

The Great Indoors - Global aired it on Thursdays in simulcast with CBS until Big Brother Canada returned and it got placed on the shelf. Since then, it aired sporadically, filling in for pre-empted regular shows, but was already behind CBS. Once it was confirmed that the show was cancelled, Global still had three episodes in the can. They were scheduled to be burned off one Sunday night in June, but Global scrapped those plans and made the remaining episodes exclusively available for streaming on their website.

The Carmichael Show - Cancelled by NBC after three seasons as the show's main star opted to leave for other projects. NBC is currently airing the show's final season on Wednesday nights through the first week of August, but Global has no room thanks to Big Brother and Salvation on CBS.

That still leaves five episodes of Superstore on the bench, along with most new episodes of game show The Wall (which were shelved with the return of Big Brother).

With Private Eyes wrapping up its summer run next week (June 20), Global will have room for The Wall for at least two weeks (pre-NBC on July 27 and likely a shelf episode on August 3 as NBC has an NFL game scheduled for that evening). Then starting on August 10, SNL Weekend Update begins its four-week run, where NBC will pair it with reruns of Superstore, presumably at 8:00pm in pre-release, since Global has live episodes of Big Brother in simulcast with CBS.

Starting Monday, July 31 at 8:30pm, CBS is replacing reruns of the sitcom Man with a Plan, with Superior Donuts. Global could use this opportunity to air Season 1 instead of dumping it over on CMT.
