The daytime line-up looks great. I wonder how much it costs CHCH for this retro programming? It amazes me that a local station can air 15 different retro shows per day yet Dejaview and Comedy Gold air what maybe 6 or 7 shows?

If CHCH does a cash/barter deal with the syndicators whose shows the station airs, probably not much. If they do a strictly barter deal (allowing the syndicators to place their own ads from national advertisers during commercial breaks), it shouldn't cost CHCH a cent.

You know, guys... Members of the IndieNet (CHCH, CHEK, YesTV) could also launch a 24/7 retro channel as a digital subchannel or affiliate with one of those existing american diginets Me-TV, AntennaTV, RetroTV, CoziTV and Decades.
Channel Zero already operates Silver Screen Classics on cable.

and Rewind...the retro movie channel. Ya that would be nice if we seen better retro stations in Canada. Deja View is no longer my favourite Channel. I cancelled that last September. And as for Comedy Gold it could all change if the CRTC approves the sale of it to WOW Media. It would also be nice to see Boomerang TV brought to Canada as well. There hasn't been a Retro Cartoon channel since Teletoon Retro ceased.

It will never happen here. Boomerang is now more focused to childrens and families worldwide than the nostalgia TV network from a generation ago. It's the official home for the WB Animation shows catalog which they are mostly shown here on Teletoon.

But still, US residents have more success with the App than it is for the Boomerang TV Broadcast. And more diversity than the weak offerings from *prise 2 currently.
