That's complete crap. That's Dawn (CW prez) just looking for an excuse to cancel Reba. She put it in a awful timeslot thinking that the ratings would do down so she could have a excuse to cancel it, but they didn't so now she's coming up with it doesn't fit the networks demo. Reba was fine for The WB and now it's getting cancelled just because Dawn decided that she doesn't want any WB shows on her network. It's like she's trying to make another UPN

Don't believe me? Dawn just renewed the painfully unfunny Everybody Hates Chris even though it's down almost 45%. Reba is up almost 5%. Everybody Hates Chris airs in a much better timeslot.

Expect Dawn to find a way to renew her other painfully unfunny Girlfriends, this show has the same timeslot as last year and is down almost 25%.

By the way, the only shows that went up from last year were America's Next Top Model, WWE Smackdown (only up 1%), One Tree Hill, and Reba.

Every other CW comedy is down a ton from last year. The only reason why One Tree Hill is up is because it had America's Next Top Model as a lead-in. However American Idol has sure been killing One Tree Hill, this may be the shows last season if they keep it vs American Idol.

This also means Veronica Mars is down from last year, yes even though the show finally got it's Gilmore Girls lead-in (with is also down) it somehow found a way to go down even more.

WOW. I disagree completely about Everybody Hates Chris. I find it to be very funny, and don't really understand the need to attack one show in an effort to prop up another. :-/

Meanwhile, Reba is also a funny show, but the writing has been on the wall for more than a year that it would not be coming back. The CW didn't want it to begin with, but only renewed it because it would have been too costly to dump it, with all the pay-regardless-of-play clauses in the contracts. Much as CBS dumped The Beverly Hillbillies and all of the other "rural comedies" way back when (despite their top ten ratings), The CW is trying to establish an image that Reba does not fit.

Rather than focus on the aging sitcom's cancellation, I prefer to be grateful for the six funny seasons The WB/CW gave us. :-)

i think they wanted to cancel reba because its one of the worst shows in the history of tv. sitcoms tend to be pretty bad and humourless but reba took it to new lows.

    good riddance

Say what you want about Reba but it is by far the funniest sitcom on The CW, and by far the highest rated sitcom. The CW should have cancelled Everybody Hates Chris, All of Us, Girlfriends, and The Game before they even thought about cancelling Reba.

you do realize that you would have wiped out a whole days worth of programming if they actually did that and they would also emilimate all programming directed at minoritieswhich is one of CW's demographics. thats just if you wanted to get technical

I didn't mean The CW should cancel all of them, however if they are going by ratings all 4 of those shows should have gone before Reba.

It doesn't hurt that Reba is up 4% in a terrible timeslot. Oh and The CW's Monday comedies are doing WORSE than UPN's Monday comedy RERUNS that aired last February vs THE OLYMPICS!

Just to make that clear, reruns of One on One, All of Us, Girlfriends and Half and Half did BETTER than new episodes of Everybody Hates Chris, All of Us, Girlfriends, and The Game. That's not good no matter how you spin it.
