    Classic Game Shows

It seems nowadays alot of Daytime Gameshows have been replaced by so many Talk Shows and Judge Shows but in the Olden Days Daytime Game Shows Ruled the airwaves, shows like Press Your luck, Pinball, Dream House, Classic Concentration, The Dating Game, The Newleywed Game, Truth or Consequences, It's Your Move, The Mad Dash, Guess What and the $25, 000/$100, 000 Pyramid...and today the only Daytime Game Shows that still rule the airwaves are The Price is Right with new Host Drew Carey and The Family Feud with John Hurley and at Nighttime Wheel of Furtune with Pat Sajak and Vanna White and Jeopardy with Alex Trebek still Rule the airwaves as well!!! And also Daytime editions of Deal or No Deal with Howie Mandel, Who Wants to be a Millionaire with Merideth Fierra and now Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader now rules the Daytime airwaves!!!

If you have Digital Cable or satellite the only places you'd see Classic Game Shows are either on GSN or Game TV!!!

On GSN, You'd see Match Game with Gene rayburn, the $25, 000 or the $100, 000 Pyramids with Dick Clarke and Card Sharks with Jim Perry and Perry was also host of 2 Canadian Game Shows The Headline Hunters and Definition and he also hosted Sale of the Century as well!!!

And on GameTv You'd see The Mad Dash with Pierre Lalonde, Just like Mom with fergie Olver and Catherine Swing, Supermarket Sweep with Tino Monte and Test pattern with Dan Gallagher!!!

In those days of Tv Game Shows, I remembered when 3 Dating and Relationship Shows The Dating Game with Jim Lang, The Newleywed Game with Bob Eubanks and Love Connection with Chuch Whollery and who could ever forget Tic Tac Dough with Wink Martindale, The Jokers Wild with Jack Berry and the Whammy Infested Press Your Luck with Peter Tomarkus...WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE GAME SHOW?!!!

    Donnie Osmond....No....Dick Clarke Yes

Have to agree with FETTI on that one...Donny Osmond sure sucked Hosting his version of Pyramid...Only Dick Clarke had the Best!!! Same goes with John Hurley, Louie Anderson and the Late Ray Combs of the Family Feud...Only Richard Dawson had the best darn Family Feud econd only to Richard Karns who played Al Borland on Home Improvement...Remember when Contestants kept choosing Richard Dawson on The Match Game that introduced the Spinning Wheel consisting of other Apponants such as Brett Somers and Charles Nelson Riley!!! Imagine that eh?!!!

Anyone remember Pitfall with Alex Trebek:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enJ25wJu_YU

Mr. Trebek didn't get paid fully (or maybe not at all) for hosting this show as the production company want aground. Well, needless to say Mr. Trebek doesn't need donations via Paypal today, but it was a rough start for him.

Yes Simonizer...I do remember The Canadian Game Show Pitfall indeed hosted by Alex Trebek...however though it wasn't very successful in the ratings and was cancelled a Year later but just think Alex has it good today being long time host of Jeopardy but during the 1970's He was also host of a Weekly Variety show Stars on Ice on the CTV Network...Alex Trebek hometown is Sudbury Ontario!!! Other Canadian Game Shows I can never forget as well were Split second hosted by Monty Hall who also hosted Let's Make a Deal and Guess What hosted by Robin Ward and who could ever forget 2 Great Charades Programs Its your Move and Party Time both of which were hosted by Billy Van and Van was also best known for The Holarious House of Frightenstien in the 1970's all of which originated from Hamilton's CHCH Studio's and If those who used to get CKCO-TV from Kitchener in Ontario just like I did in my Hometown of Parry Sound Ontario do you remember "Bowling For Dollars" with Wayne Kooyman and later Jeff Hutchinson that aired every Saturday Nights at 6:30pm on Kitcheners CKCO-TV...as sad as it may seem those days of it are now gone!!!
