The “Golden Hour”: the 60 minutes after being critically injured when a patient’s life hangs in the balance. It’s an hour of pure adrenaline that a team of expert surgeons thrive on in MIAMI MEDICAL, the fast-paced new series from Emmy® award-winning producer Jerry Bruckheimer (CSI, THE AMAZING RACE, COLD CASE). Starring Jeremy Northam (THE TUDORS), MIAMI MEDICAL makes its television debut Friday, April 2 at 10 p.m. ET on /A\ (visit Atv.ca to confirm local broadcast times). The series also stars Mike Vogel (Cloverfield), Lana Parrilla (LOST), Elisabeth Harnois (WITHOUT A TRACE) and Omar Gooding (BARBERSHOP).

“Jerry Bruckheimer’s portrayal of a life-or-death, trauma-only facility adds a new twist to the medical drama genre,” said Susanne Boyce, President, Creative, Content and Channels, CTV Inc. “MIAMI MEDICAL will keep viewers on the edge of their seats as these superstar surgeons handle one crisis after the next.”

As part of the Alpha Team at one of the top trauma hospitals in the country, Miami Trauma One, the professionals in MIAMI MEDICAL exclusively treat patients with serious, life-threatening injuries. These “rock stars of medicine” excel in the "golden hour," while drawing upon their wit and irreverence to survive on the edge of life and death.

Dr. Matthew Proctor (Northam) is new to the trauma team after leaving a lucrative private practice following his return from a tour of duty in a MASH unit during the first Gulf War. Dr. Eva Zambrano (Lana Parrilla, LOST, SWINGTOWN) is a workaholic surgeon who wishes she had more time for a personal life. Dr. Christopher Deleo, “Dr. C.” (Mike Vogel, Cloverfield), is a playboy who thrives on the high-stakes of trauma medicine and is, by his own description, a genius cowboy. Dr. Serena Warren (Elisabeth Harnois, WITHOUT A TRACE) is fresh out of medical school and is quickly learning the meaning of “trial by fire.”

The glue that keeps the team together is head nurse Tuck Brody (Omar Gooding, PLAYMAKERS, BARBERSHOP), who balances the needs of the doctors and their patients' families in this chaotic corner of the medical profession.

In the series premiere (Friday, April 2 at 10 p.m. ET on /A\), the Alpha Team is aided by a new surgeon after the head of their unit goes AWOL and a restaurant explosion floods the halls of the hospital with victims. Emmy® Award Winner Andre Braugher (MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET) guest stars as Dr. William Rayner, the head of Alpha Team.

On the second episode, “88 Seconds” (Friday, April 9 at 10 p.m. ET on /A\), one member of the team learns a secret about Dr. Proctor's (Northam) past while treating the victims of a hotel shooting. Meanwhile, Dr. Deleo (Vogel) is offered a prestigious career move.

Jerry Bruckheimer, Jeffrey Lieber (LOST), Jonathan Littman (CSI, THE AMAZING RACE), and Steve Maeda (LOST, LIE TO ME) are executive producers for Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television Distribution.
