Leading kids’ broadcaster Corus Entertainment announced today details from the fall 2009 programming lineups for YTV, Treehouse and Discovery Kids. Offering the best in Nickelodeon programming, original Canadian produced series, blockbuster movies and more, Corus Kids television has an unmatched lineup of programming for kids of all ages and their families.

“Corus Kids is turning things up this fall with jam-packed schedules for YTV, Treehouse and Discovery Kids, featuring great new series and returning favourites,” said Doug Murphy, President, Nelvana, and General Manager, Corus Kids. “With The Penguins of Madagascar joining the mix – the most watched series premiere ever on Nickelodeon when it launched earlier this year in the U.S., Corus Kids continues to deliver the hits that both kids and their parents have come to expect and enjoy.”

    Premieres: Saturday, September 12 at 9 a.m.
Produced by DreamWorks Animation, creator of the Academy Award® winning Shrek, in association with Nickelodeon, The Penguins of Madagascar centers around the adventures of four cute unsuspecting penguins, Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private, as they carry out missions to maintain order and rule the roost in their habitat, New York’s Central Park Zoo. Andy Richter (Late Night with Conan O' Brien) and Tom McGrath (co-created the Penguins characters and directed both Madagascar films) reprise their roles as Mort and Skipper from the feature films.

But even with these challenges and the struggle of being a teenager, Indie and her best friend’s, Abi and Marlon, are determined to make eighth grade their year to shine. How to be Indie is produced by Heroic Film Company in association with YTV.
